Byron Lee Adcock, 62, Butlerville, died at his residence at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 6, 2022.

In keeping with Mr. Adcock’s wishes, there will be no services at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Mr. Adcock graduated from Jennings County High School in 1977. He worked as a HVAC technician by trade, having worked for Strope Refrigeration and Koch Mechanical, both for many years. He had also worked for the old Pizza Palace while in high school and for a few years after. Mr. Adcock was a foodie and enjoyed riding and working on motorcycles, traveling and spending time with his family.

Born January 29, 1959, in Louisville, Kentucky, Mr. Adcock was the son of Harry J. and Helen E. Brison Adcock. He married Melanie C. Ashman December 23, 1978, in North Vernon and she survives.

In addition to his wife, survivors include a son, Cole (Misty) Adcock of Butlerville; daughter, Melanie Petro of Butlerville; sisters, Georgiana (Kenneth) Vest of North Vernon; grandchildren, Emmalee Adcock, Gracie Adcock, Mitchy Whitehouse, Amelyah Adcock, Josie Petro, Konnor Adcock, and Jacquelyn Adcock, all of Butlerville; and a niece, Wendy (Vern) Cartwright of Vernon.

Mr. Adcock was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, George and Bessie Brison and Elijah and Josephine Adcock; and nephew, Jaime Adcock.
