BBQ, Live Music, and Family Fun — what better way than a Hog Roast to celebrate Good Samaritan Food Pantry’s 14th year of service to Jennings County?

Ginger Miller, Executive Director and the Good Samaritan Board members invite the public to take part in the fundraiser festivities which will help continue their mission of feeding the hungry and caring for those in need. Community members can expect a delicious BBQ lunch (complete with BBQ or hotdog, two sides, chips, dessert, and drink), live music from local singers and musicians, fun activities for kids, and multiple door prize giveaways!

Tickets are $5 in advance and $7 at the door — to purchase your order, call the Good Samaritan Food Pantry at 812-352-0500 today! The event will take place at the food pantry from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., located at 2250 N. State Hwy 7 in North Vernon.

To make this event even more exciting, an online silent auction will be going on during the week leading up to the Saturday event. Numerous items will be available to bid on through the Good Samaritan Facebook page, so keep watch for more information! Bidding will begin on Monday, May 31 and close on Friday, June 4. All items must be claimed and paid for on Saturday, June 5 during the Hog Roast.

Money raised through this event will go towards purchasing food, funding the annual Christmas program, and assisting with operational costs for the pantry. Any business or organization interested in donating funds or providing auction items can call Ginger Miller at 812-352-0500 or send an email to Auction items must be received by May 28.
