Dog and Goat

A photo of the duo was posted to the Heads Up Jennings County Facebook page by user Emily Renee.

If you were in the Jay C area last Thursday evening, you may have noticed an unlikely pair perusing the streets of Jennings County. A post on the Heads Up Jennings County Facebook page by user Emily Renee alerted the public that a golden retriever and a goat had were on a trip that included a stop in her backyard. The comments began flooding in on the whereabouts of the two runaways. From the Jay C parking lot, to AirOne, all the way to Decatur Mold, these two buddies made their way all around the north side of town. It was mentioned later by Facebook user Becca Lenhart that the pair was believed to live somewhere on CR 350 N between Highway 3 & 7, which would explain the trail they took. While many were hoping to claim the goat if an owner wasn’t found, it seems like this pair made their way back home safely. Make sure to keep an eye out on Highway 7 from now on, as you may catch a glimpse of Jennings County’s most famous animal duo.
