The Lady Panther soccer team got their sectional underway last Wednesday after drawing a second round matchup with the Stars of Bedford North Lawrence.

This was a rather lucky draw for Jennings County, as this was the only team that they had previously defeated during the regular season that was in their sectional.

While they weren’t able to run away with a 9-0 win like they did in September, the team still moved on with a 3-0 win.

Goal scorers were Bree Galyen, Maddy McIntosh, and scoring her first career goal, Manto Vadell. Assists came from Galyen (1) and McIntosh (2). Goalkeeper Alayna Phillips had five saves.

On Saturday, the Lady Panthers met Floyd Central in the sectional championship, and the odds were not in the favor of the good guys, as Jennings County lost 0-5.

McIntosh had two shots on goal, and Phillips had 18 saves.

The Lady Panthers finish their season a 6-11-2.
