On Tuesday night, the Jennings County High School girls swim team traveled to Madison to compete in their first meet of the season. Not only did the team compete, they won 98-69.

“We had a lot of great swims. Our team tied this Madison team last year, and we have turned it around during the offseason,” noted coach Webster.

Wins for the Lady Panthers came in the 200 yard medley relay by the team consisting of Avery Witt, Reagan Brown, Braylee Moore, and Alexa Mollenhoff, the 200 yard freestyle team of Mollenhoff, Grace Kirchner, Lydia Ponsler, and Tatum Brown, and the 400 yard freestyle relay team of Moore, Tatum Brown, Witt, and Reagan Brown.

Individual wins for the Lady Panthers came from Tatum Brown, 200 and 500 yard freestyle, Avery Witt, 100 yard butterfly and 100 yard backstroke, and Reagan Brown, 100 yard breaststroke.

The Lady Panther swim team now prepares for their home opener against Floyd Central. The meet will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 4 at the Jennings County Middle School natatorium.
