The Jennings County High School softball team won one and lost one over the past week. Their big win of the week came against Greenwood Christian Academy, where the Lady Panthers won 22-1. Nearly every Lady Panther had hitting impacts, however the big plays came from Tori Lee and Delaynee McCreary, who both had home runs. Lidia Hall had a triple, and Grace George and Ashley Meade both tallied doubles. Lidia Hall had the pitching start throwing four innings, with one run and four strikeouts. Charlee Barlow had the close and talked two strikeouts.

The Lady Panthers also traveled to Scottsburg on Monday, where the success was less fortunate for Jennings County, losing 6-0. Mackenzie Matern started on the mound for the first four and one-third inning, tallying three strikeouts, and Shelby Wilson closed out the game with one strikeout. While the bats couldn’t come to life as much as the Lady Panthers were hoping, Alaina Young, Averi Zamora, and McCreary all tallied a hit.

The Lady Panthers will come back home for a conference game against New Albany on Thursday, with first pitch at 5:30 p.m.
