Marvin Russell Whisman, age 76, widower of the late Marcella Rummage Whisman and a resident of Carrollton, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2023 at St. Elizabeth Hospice Care.  Born in Henry County on  July 15, 1946, he was the son of the late Vernon Whisman and the late Myrtle Harper Whisman.  Marvin was  retired from Maintenance Department of New Horizons Assisted Living.

Left to mourn his passing and celebrate his life are his son: Rusty (Jennifer) Whisman of Carrollton; daughter: Mary LeAnn (Daniel) Stevens of Vevay; and a brother: E.W. Whisman of Lagrange. Six grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive. 

Funeral Services for Marvin were conducted on March 2, 2023 at Graham-Dunn Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Larry Montgomery. Burial followed at Shady Lawn Memorial Gardens in Shelbyville. Graham-Dunn Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements for Mr. Whisman.
