Amie Leigh Perkins Wiggins, 49, of Madison, Indiana and Brentwood, Tennessee, died Saturday, Oct. 9, 2021, at her parents home in Madison.
She was born on April 11, 1972, in Louisville, Kentucky, to Robert W. “Bob” and Karen A. Crafton Perkins. She was raised in Hanover and Madison and was a 1990 graduate of Southwestern High School where she was a cheerleader, played volleyball and softball. She attended University of Indianapolis as a Lilly Scholar and finished her para-legal degree at the University of Louisville. She was raised in the New Prospect Baptist Church, and was baptized at age 10. She married Joseph Wiggins on Sept. 28, 2002, in Madison, and they had four children. She worked as a para-legal first with the Becker Law Firm in Louisville and most recently with a law firm in Nashville. She was active in the Remnant Fellowship Church in Brentwood, loved watching movies — her favorite was “Ice Castles” — listening to music and reading.
Survivors include her parents of Madison; her children, Nathanael Joseph Wiggins, Mileigh Joy Wiggins, Asher Noah Wiggins and David Cade Wiggins, all of Brentwood; her sister, Stefanie Perkins Conner of Madison; the father of her children of Brentwood; her uncles and aunts, a nephew and a niece, her cousins and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Dale B. Crafton and Maxine Ligon Crafton; her paternal grandmother, Louise Perkins Reed; and an aunt.
Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 14, at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre in Madison. Interment will follow in the New Prospect Cemetery in Saluda, Indiana. Visitation is 2 p.m. until time of services Thursday at the funeral home.
