Carolyn Ann Christie Adams, 83, of New Washington, Indiana, died Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at her home.

She was born on Dec. 18, 1937, in Meggs County, Ohio, to Howard W. and Stella LaMasters Christy. She lived in Ohio until moving to Madison, Indiana, in 1954 where she graduated from Madison High School in 1955. She worked early in life for Demaree Motors and Grote Industries. She married Clifford Delano Adams on May 3, 1958 in Madison, and they had a daughter and a son. She was a homemaker and enjoyed hosting family events and preparing food and dishes. She had lived in Clark County since the early 1980s and was a member of the Church of God a Worldwide Association in Jeffersonville, Indiana. She loved to embroider and sew and liked reading and being with her family.

Survivors include her husband of 63 years of New Washington; her daughter, Colleen Winner of Atlanta; her grandchildren, Chantelle Adams, Darci Schiller, Sarah Minton and Vincent Winner; and 11 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Conan Clifford Adams; and her brother, Vernon H. Christy.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 3, at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre-Hanover Chapel in Hanover, Indiana. Interment will follow in the New Bethel Cemetery in Chelsea, Indiana. Visitation is noon until time of services Thursday at the funeral home.
