Carolyn Louise Harper, 75, of Lexington, Indiana, died Friday, April 29, 2022, at her residence in Lexington.

She was born on April 23, 1947, in Carrollton, Kentucky, to Carroll Ray James and Maureen Egerton Luhn. She was a graduate of Trimble County High School and a homemaker. She married Lance Harper on June 3, 1970. She enjoyed her flowers, gardening and was an avid University of Kentucky basketball fan.

Survivors include two children, Darin Harper Shelley of North Vernon, Indiana and Kristi Harper, of Lexington; her brother, Rick Oak of Louisville; and seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Danton Harper; her stepfather, Richard Luhn; her brothers, Garry “Chuck” Oak and Mark Luhn; and her maternal grandparents who helped raise her, JW “Billy” and Frances Egerton.

Graveside services will take place at the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Madison at 2 p.m. on Monday, May 9, 2022.
