Daniel Ryan Todd, 36, of Madison, Indiana, died Saturday, May 29, 2021, in Westville, Indiana.
He was born on Feb. 20, 1985, in Decatur, Illinois, to Danny Ray and Tammara Shaul Todd. He was a 2004 graduate of Madison Consolidated High School and enlisted in the US Army only to be discharged due to a chronic illness that severely deprived him of his eyesight throughout life. He loved football and wrestling during his school years and playing chess and the guitar as an adult. He married Sarah Wahl on March 31, 2017, and they had five children.
Survivors include his mother of Jeffersonville, Indiana; his father, of Lillington, North Carolina; his wife, of Versailles, Indiana; his children, Kaden Todd, Jayden Todd, Jaxon Todd, Eli Todd and Zoey Todd; his stepchildren, Aiden Wahl, Braden Ritchison, C.J. Wahl and Damian Wahl; his sister, Sabrina Todd of Madison; his maternal grandmother, Ruby Mayberry of Spring Hill, Florida; his paternal grandmother, Cherri Thorne of Madison; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephew and other family.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Channing Taylor Lamar Todd, on May 19, 2016; his paternal grandfather, Richard Lee Thorne, on July 12, 2020; his maternal grandfather, Myron B. Shaul, on Feb. 22, 2006; his paternal great grandmother, Nancy E. Todd, on March 11, 2004; and his maternal great grandfather, J.O. Shaul.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Sunday, June 6, 2021, at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre in Madison. Visitation is 11 a.m. until time of services Sunday at the funeral home.
