David L. Wisman, 70, of Martinsville, Indiana, died Saturday, Nov. 20, 2021, at his home.
He was born on Aug. 29, 1951, in New Albany, Indiana, to Patricia Ann Warman Wisman and Lawrence P. Wisman.
He served in the US Army and US Navy and was honorable discharged from both. He married Brenda Joyce Pitman Wisman on May 27, 1979, and they had three children. He and was employed most of his life as a diesel mechanic. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating and woodworking.
Survivors include his mother of Madison, Indiana; his sons, David L. Wisman of Springville, Indiana and Kevin Wisman of Madison; his daughter, Kimberly L. Nicole Cosky of Indianapolis; three brothers, Richard Wisman of Indianapolis, Mark Wisman of Noblesville, Indiana and Mike Wisman of Orlando, Florida; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 27 years on Nov. 23, 2006, and one brother, Paul Wisman.
A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday at the Neal & Summers Funeral & Cremation Center in Martinsville. Burial will be at Nebo Memorial Park Cemetery in Martinsville. Visitation is 11 a.m. until time of services Saturday at the funeral home.
