Donnie F. Ketterer Sr., 73, of Ghent, Kentucky, died Monday, July 12, 2021, at Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton, Kentucky.

He was born on Sept. 20, 1947, in Cincinnati, to Leo Frank Ketterer and Lula Hayes Ketterer. He had worked early in life as an auto mechanic and went on to serve in the US Army specializing as a track vehicle mechanic until his honorable discharge with the rank of Sergeant. After the military he was a farmer. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife, Mary R. Skirvin Ketterer of Ghent; three sons, Donnie F. Ketterer Jr. of Warsaw, Kentucky, Lonnie F. Ketterer of Ghent and Jimmy J. Ketterer of Worthville, Kentucky; three daughters, Denise Hearn of London, Kentucky, Doris Proffitt of Lily, Kentucky, and Tinna Dilts of Somerset, Kentucky; a sister, Connie Ketterer of Cincinnati; and 13 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two grandsons.

Military graveside services will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, July 19, at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North in Williamstown, Kentucky. Visitation is 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home in Carrollton.
