Faye Sides Snyder, 83, of Vevay, Indiana, died Monday, Nov. 16, 2020, at the Swiss Villa Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Vevay.

She was born Nov. 19, 1936, in Vevay, to James Ira Cross and Edith Montanye Sides. She was raised in Vevay and was a 1955 graduate of Vevay High School. She married Ronald Lee Snyder on May 5, 1962 in Cross Plains, Indiana, and they had a son and a daughter. She was employed as an Emergency Medical Technician and Advanced Life Support for the Perry County Ambulance Service for 14 years. She resided in Tell City, Indiana, for 38 years before moving back to the Vevay community in 1998 where she resided until her death. She was a member of the Ruter Chapel United Methodist Church and the YMCA in Vevay and enjoyed bowling, toll painting, knitting, sewing and watching IU basketball.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years; her son, Scott Snyder of Vevay; her daughter, Rhonda Wehrenberg of Pensacola, Florida; three sisters, Jane Stewart of Commiskey, Indiana and Sue Turner and Mary Sides, both of Vevay; a brother, John Sides of Versailles, Indiana; and a grandson and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Louise Arnold, Eleanor Ford, Sarah Polk and Ruthie Taylor; and two brothers, Fred Sides and Don Sides.

Memorial services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 23, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home in Vevay. Interment will follow in the Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, Indiana. Visitation is noon until the time of services.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, face masks and social distancing are required by those attending.
