Frank R. Schreiner Sr., 91, of Greensburg, Indiana, died Friday, Nov. 12, 2021, at the Heritage House Nursing Home in Greensburg. He was born on Nov. 9, 1930, in Shelby County, Indiana, to Edward J. and Ruth F. Mabee Schreiner. He graduated from Sandcreek High School in 1948 and served in the US Air Force from 1948 through 1954. He married Dorothy I. Brancamp Schreiner on Sept. 4, 1950, in Millhousen, Indiana, and they had four children. He was a farmer, a member of the Knights of Columbus, American Legion, Eagles Lodge and St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greensburg. He enjoyed dancing with his wife at area dances.

Survivors include his wife of 71 years of Greensburg; four children, Frank Schreiner Jr. of Greensburg, Edward J. Schreiner of Louisville, Paula Rose Bales of Florida and Patricia I. Matus of Texas; a brother, Donald Schreiner of Carmel, Indiana; a sister, Joan Tebbe of Madison, Indiana; and eight grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Paul “Bud” Schreiner, John Schreiner and Jim Schreiner; and three sisters, Lucille Youngman, Ruth Marie Herbert and Betty Sandhage.

Funeral mass was Wednesday, Nov. 17, at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greensburg. Interment was at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery there.
