Glenetta Irene Ellis, 76, of Vevay, Indiana, died Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2020, at the Swiss Villa Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Vevay, Indiana, from COVID-19.

She was born April 14, 1944, to Glen and Charlotte Ellis and lived in Marion most of her life. She helped raise her nieces and nephews, spent 30 years as a certified nursing assistant caring for those in her community and loved her dolls and stuffed animals, all of which she called her babies. Her favorite activities were spending time with family and friends and eating Kentucky Fried Chicken. She was devoted to her church and church family at Healing Heart Church of God in Marion.

Survivors include two brothers, David Ellis of Indiana and Joe Ellis of Washington; two sisters, Norma Ledington of Oklahoma and Kay O’Malley of Indiana; and more than 60 nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews and great-great nieces and great-great nephews across the country and several cousins including Wayne Ellis of Marion.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Judy Judd, Marilyn George and Becky Foreman; and a niece.
