Glenn Jerome Aho, 77, of Campbellsburg, Kentucky, died Friday, Nov. 19, 2021, at Norton Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville.

He was born on Oct. 6, 1944, in Stanley, North Dakota, to Emil and Ida Julia Alama Aho. He was a graduate of Stanley High School and North Dakota State University where he earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree. He retired in 2012 from Walgreens in Louisville after 44 years as a pharmacist. He previously worked for CVS, Walmart and the former K-Mart. He married Kathy Raines on Jan. 13, 2012, in Providence and moved to Campbellsburg where he was a member of Providence Baptist Church. He volunteered his services at Cedar Lake Lodge in La Grange, Kentucky, and loved sports — especially the UK Wildcats and the San Franscisco Giants — and enjoyed watching any team coached by Phil Jackson, against whom he played basketball in high school. He was a caregiver for his wife and family.

Survivors include his wife of nine years; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Sandy and Rick Ward of Campbellsburg; a niece, Kristen Wilcoxson of Campbellsburg; a nephew, Craig Ward of Louisville; and a great niece and nephew, several family members in North Dakota and family friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and nine siblings: Edna Aho, Velma Aho, Edwin Aho, Harlan Aho, Violet Ellvanger, Eileen Meiers, Melvin Aho, Marvin Aho and Marilyn Hopkins.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 24, at the Ransdell Funeral Home in Campbellsburg. Burial will be in the Carrollton I.O.O. F. Cemetery in Carrollton, Kentucky. Visitation is 9 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
