Gordon Dailey, 49, of Madison, Indiana, died Monday, April 19, 2021, at King’s Daughters’ Hospital in Madison.
He was born in Madison on July 4, 1971, to Orville Meredith and Waukina Carolyn Youngblood Dailey and resided in Madison all of his life. He graduated from Madison Consolidated High School and was raised in the Madison Pentecostal Church. He later attended Grace Baptist Church and Christian School. He loved playing video games on his Xbox and Play Station 4 and was gifted at recording music. He liked watching television, especially wrestling and politics, and enjoyed time with people and dogs.
Survivors include his mother of Madison; three aunts, Pauline Youngblood Young, Maddeline Youngblood Purvis and Anita Vest, all of Madison; two uncles, Kevin Dailey and Dennis Dailey, both of Madison; and numerous cousins and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his father on Jan. 2, 1997; his grandparents, Andrew S. Dailey and Mary L. Mullican Dailey and Allen Samuel Youngblood and Maddeline Cull Youngblood; three aunts, Betty Jean Youngblood, Alene June Youngblood and Marcella Youngblood; and four uncles, Robert Allen Youngblood, George A. Youngblood, Herman E. Youngblood and Donald M. “Duck” Youngblood.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 25, at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre in Madison. Interment will follow in the Fairmount Cemetery in Madison. Visitation is 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, April 24 and 1 p.m. until time of service Sunday at the funeral home.
