Norma “Jean” Schwade Tinker, 87, of East Enterprise, Indiana, died Thursday, Nov. 12, 2020, at the Swiss Villa Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Vevay, Indiana.

She was born Feb. 7, 1933, in Florence, Indiana, to Dilver W. and Ruth A. (Brameier) Schwade. She was raised in Switzerland County, Indiana, where she was a 1952 graduate of the Patriot High School. She married Rudolph H. Tinker on Sept. 13, 1970, in Aberdeen, Indiana. She was a member of the East Enterprise United Methodist Church, a homemaker and enjoyed her flowers and keeping a meticulous lawn. She resided in the Switzerland County community all of her life.

Survivors include her caregivers, Donnie and Pansy Covington, of East Enterprise; and her cousins, Ora Lee Schwade of Seymour, Indiana and Linda Huffmester and Barbara Huffmester ,of Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband off 12 years; her aunt, Mary Willis; her uncle, Walter Brameier; and a cousin, Loren Schwade.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home in Vevay.

Interment will follow in the Rising Sun New Cemetery in Rising Sun, Indiana. Visitation is 11 a.m. until time of services on Tuesday at the funeral home.
