Jonathan Ray Stockdale, 39, of Milton, Kentucky, died unexpectedly on Thanksgiving Day Thursday, Nov. 25, 2021, at his residence after suffering a heart attack.
He was born on March 3, 1982, in Madison, Indiana, to Ernest Neil and Penny M. Spillman Stockdale. He was raised and resided all of his life in Trimble County and was a 2000 graduate of Trimble County High School, where he played football, basketball, and baseball. He graduated college with of bachelor of art in political science and minor in military science and US/European history. He had recently worked for UPS in Florence, Kentucky. He was an avid UK basketbal, Cincinnati Reds and Cincinnati Bengals fan. He loved playing golf and being with his family. He was a member of Mt. Byrd Christian Church in Milton.
Survivors include his parents of Milton; his daughter, Kaylee Madison Stockdale of Cynthiana, Kentucky; his son, Lennon Jackson Stockdale of Madison; his sister, Heather Stockdale Walden of Jacksonville, Florida; and his uncles and aunts, nephew and niece, cousins and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Elwyn and Mary Stockdale and Morris and June Spillman; and his uncles and his aunt.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 30, at Mt. Byrd Christian Church in Milton. Interment will follow in the Bedford Cemetery in Bedford, Kentucky. Visitation is 11 a.m. until time of services Tuesday at the church. Arrangements entrusted to the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centres of Madison and Hanover, Indiana.
