Joyce Keith Holder, 87, of North Vernon, Indiana, died Thursday, April 1, 2021, at St. Vincent Jennings Hospital, in North Vernon.

She was born Oct. 8, 1933, in Russell Springs, Kentucky, to Osby and Rova McGowan Harris. She married Lester Paul Holder on Dec. 7, 1956, in Ringo, Georgia. She was a member of River of Life Assembly of God in North Vernon and volunteered for the Food Pantry. She enjoyed spending time with her family, socializing with her church family and taking care of elderly people.

Survivors include her husband of 64 years; her son, Gary Holder of Avon, Indiana; two grandchildren, Troy Holder of Greenwood, Indiana and Trevor Holder of Hanover, Indiana; nine great grandchildren, Zakry Holder, Reece Holder, Lexie Holder, Brock Holder, Tyler Holder, Keith Holder, Trace Holder, Trip Mardello and Avalynn Holder; and two great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Trent Holder; and two brothers, Hugh and Gile Harris.

Funeral services are at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 6, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel and Cremation Service in North Vernon. Visitation is 11 a.m. until the time of the service Tuesday. Burial will follow in the Vernon Cemetery.
