Judy Lynn O’Day McKay, 78, of Madison, Indiana, died Saturday, May 29, 2021 at the Greenfield Regional Hospital in Greenfield, Indiana.

She was born on Nov. 28, 1942 in Vevay, Indiana, to Orville “Buck” and Wanda Roberta Moore O’Day. She graduated from Vevay High School in 1961 and went to work for the Vevay Reveille and Switzerland Democrat Newspaper there. She married Virgil Clyde McKay on May 18, 1963, in Kent, Indiana, and they had two daughters. She relocated to Indianapolis for 35 years and was an employee for the State of Indiana. She enjoyed working as a Deputy Clerk for the Indiana Court of Appeals and Indiana Supreme Court for 22 years and serving as secretary for eight Indiana State Representatives. She had attended the Mt. Zion Nazarene Church for several years and enjoyed membership in the South Side Corvette Club and the Hallmark Club. She loved the ride of the Cadillac and the speed of the Corvette and a great NASCAR race. She liked gardening, working with her flowers, collecting Hallmark ornaments, reading Janet Evanovich books, shopping — especially QVC — watching the Food Network, collecting roosters, and celebrating her Irish heritage. She and her husband moved back to Switzerland County and enjoyed the family farm until their deaths.

Survivors include daughters Christy Muzquiz of Indianapolis and Misty Blankman of Rushville, Indiana; her grandsons, Jonathon Blankman and Hector Logan Muzquiz; a sister, June Edwards of East Enterprise, Indiana; and her nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents;

her husband of 52 years; and other relatives.

Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 3, at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre in Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow on Friday in the Vevay Cemetery in Vevay. Visitation is 5 p.m. until time of services Thursday at the funeral home.
