Lloyd Wayne Jackson, 79, of Carrollton, Kentucky, died Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2021, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati.
He was born in Bedford, Kentucky, on Sept. 24, 1941, to Walter Benjamin and Bertha Mae Stone Jackson. He was a member of Whites Run Baptist Church and was owner of Jackson and Son Construction. He was a former over-the-road truck driver, hauling a variety of products and materials, and he farmed at one time in his life. He was a hard worker and enjoyed repairing old tractors and playing his banjo.
Survivors include his wife, Stella Fox Jackson of Carrollton; a son; Terry Jackson of Carrollton; two sisters, Lois Adair and Ellen Wilhoite, both of Bedford; and three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Melessa Ann Jackson; two sisters, Gladys Martin and Wanda Jackson; and four brothers, Alford, Cowboy, William and Sidney Jackson.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 8, at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home in Carrollton. Visitation is 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 7, at the funeral home. Burial will take place in the English Cemetery.
