Patricia Ann “Pat” Taylor O’Nan, 75, of Greencastle, Indiana and formerly of Madison, Indiana, died Friday, April 16, 2021, at the Asbury Towers Retirement Community in Greencastle.

She was born Jan. 26, 1946, in Carrollton, Kentucky, to Orville J. and Velma Lee Tingle Taylor. She was raised in Carroll County, Kentucky, attended school there and later received her GED. She worked for more than 33 years at Reliance Electric in Madison, Indiana, where she made many lifelong friends. She married James “Jim” G. O’Nan on July 3, 1986, in Carrollton, was a member of North Madison Baptist Church as long as her health permitted her to attend and was an avid UK basketball fan. She enjoyed camping, NASCAR, walking on the riverfront with her friends, going to car shows, her cat Pouncer, gardening and traveling with friends to Myrtle Beach. She moved to Greencastle in 2019 to be near her son and family.

Survivors include her son, Nathan D. Skirvin of Cloverdale, Indiana; her brother, Roger Taylor of Carrollton, Kentucky; her stepdaughters, Tanya R. O’Nan of Madison and Traci Y. Scroggins of High Point, North Carolina; her granddaughters Allison Skirvin and Ashley Strohm of Waynesville, North Carolina; her step grandchildren, Peyton Scroggins and Jackson Scroggins; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 20 years on April 30, 2006.

Private services will be held with interment to follow in the Grandview Memorial Gardens near Madison.
