Robert Ray Goins Jr., 35, of Madison, Indiana, died Sunday, Jan. 17, 2021, in a head-on collision on US 421 north of Madison.

He was born Jan. 30, 1985, in Madison, Indiana, to Robert Ray Goins Sr. and Dana Ruth Ramsey. He resided in Madison most of his life except for eight years he lived in Belton, Texas. He married Emily Ann Goodin on Oct. 29, 2003, in Trimble County, Kentucky. He was a former employee of Madison Precision and Arvin Sango in Madison and was currently a self-employed tattoo artist. He enjoyed drawing, art and working in the tattoo field.

Survivors include his mother of Oklahoma; his wife of Madison; his sons, Drake Matthew Goins, Dayton Ray Goins and Kaden Skyler Lee Goins, all of Madison; his daughter, Lilly Rayann Goins of Gatesville, Texas; his brother, Tommy Goins of Oklahoma; his half brother, David Clark of Oglesby, Texas; his stepbrothers, Mark Foutch and Brian Foutch, both of Madison; his stepsister, Jennifer Covington of Vevay, Indiana; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his father on July 23, 2018; his grandmother, Judy Carolyn Meadows Goins, on Jan. 7, 2010; his grandfather, Benjamin Goins; his great grandparents, James Ellis Meadows and Mary Lillian Moore Meadows Barnes; and an uncle and a cousin.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 22, at the New Life Fellowship Church in Madison. Visitation is 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre in Madison and 9 a.m. until time of services Friday at the church.
