Steve E. “Frog” Jarrell, 59, of, Madison, died Monday, Oct. 11, 2021, at King’s Daughter’s Hospital in Madison.
He was born on Nov. 13, 1961, in Seymour, Indiana, to James E. and Ethel Louise Craft Jarrell. He was a 1979 graduate of Jennings County High School in North Vernon, Indiana, and worked as a truck driver for H&L Tree Service for two years and for Jim Beeman Lumber for several years. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his fiancé, Becky Norsworthy of Madison; five sons, Michael Paul Jarrell of Port St. Lucie, Florida, Nathan E. Jarrell of Columbus, Indiana and Andrew Jarrell, Caleb Jarrell and Matthew Jarrell, all of North Vernon; two daughters, Olivia Jarrell of Westport, Indiana and Alessa Jarrell of North Vernon; a brother, Curt Jarrell of North Vernon; his sisters, Sharon Lee, Teresa Beeman and Joanna Chastain, all of North Vernon and Donna (Emmett) Fields of Ohio; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father; his mother and stepfather Denver Pratt; and a daughter, Diane Jarrell.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 16, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon. Burial will follow in the Hopewell Cemetery in Jennings County. Visitation is 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 15, and 10 a.m. until time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.
