Doris Suzanne “Suzie” Denton-Strahle, 72, of Madison, Indiana, died Friday, Nov. 27, 2020, at King’s Daughters’ Hospital in Madison.

She was born on Jan. 5, 1948, in Yuma, Arizona, to Corbett Wilson and Doris Adaline Bestic George. She was a 1965 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School in Long Beach, California, and married Dick Denton on June 17, 1971. They were married almost 27 years until his death on April 28, 1998. She then remarried to Theodore W. “Ted” Strahle on May 31, 2003. She had worked in the offices at Madison Foot Clinic, Badger & Spiller Orthodontics and Madison Dermatology and was a member of the Women’s Auxiliary of the Major Samuel Woodfill American Legion Post No. 9 in Madison. In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling, reading and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include her husband of 17 years, Ted Strahle, of Madison; a son, Keith Denton of Madison; her stepdaughters: Tonya Taylor of Zionsville, Indiana and Darbi Strahle of Muncie, Indiana; her sisters, Sandy Hastings of Las Vegas and Cherie Mullienux; her brother, Paul George; and three grandchildren and two step grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
