Trudy Lynn Napier, 59, of Lexington, Indiana, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at her home.

She was born on Sept. 4, 1961, in Madison, Indiana, to Benjamin Franklin Hubbard and Virginia “Deane” Ray Hubbard. She married Junior Napier on Feb. 3, 1987, in Lexington and worked at Englishton Park as a cook and a caretaker. She was also employed at LeRoy’s in Lexington until 1995. She was a member of Kimberlin Creek Baptist Church and enjoyed staying at home and taking care of her family, cooking, and reading true crime and mystery books. She enjoyed planning family gatherings, get-togethers, and holiday parties and spending her spare time sitting on the front porch watching birds and wildlife.

Survivors include her husband of 34 years of Lexington; two children, Jody Cain of Madison and Bo Napier of Nabb, Indiana; five siblings, Linda Kaye Smith of Henryville, Indiana, Jo Ann Morrison and Sue Carol “Cookie” Anderson, both of Lexington, Eva Jean Meagher of Sellersburg, Indiana, and Marc Anthony Hubbard of Madison; and four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and three siblings, Virginia Faye Hubbard, Mary Ruth Capps and Benjamin Wayne Hubbard.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 18, at the Adams Family Funeral Home & Crematory in Scottsburg, with burial to follow at Scottsburg Cemetery there. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until time of service Sunday at the funeral home.
