The draw for the IHSAA girls basketball sectional tournaments were held on Sunday with Madison and Shawe each drawing into the very first game of the tourney.
Madison, playing in the Class 3A Sectional at Corydon, will take on Salem in the first game while Shawe, playing in the Class 1A Sectional at Rising Sun, will face fourth-ranked Trinity Lutheran in the opener.
For the first time in 20 years, Southwestern and Switzerland County will play in different sectional tournaments. Southwestern will play Henryville in the first-round of the Class 2A Sectional at Austin while Switzerland drew the bye and will take on the winner between North Decatur and South Ripley in the 2A tourney at Switzerland County.
The sectional tournaments begin on Tuesday, Jan. 31 and conclude on Saturday, Feb. 4.
