Emmaline Leatherman and Sam Fewell each scored a pair of wins for Shawe track & field in a triangular meet at Crothersville on Tuesday.
Leatherman won the girls long jump and the high jump while Fewell won the 1,600- and 800-meter runs. Cora Wieczorek also picked up a win in the girls shot put and was second in the discus, Calli Alderman was second in both the 1,600 and 800 runs and Berkeley Neuman was fourth in the 100 and 200 dashes.
Noah Guetig finished second in the boys 300 hurdles and third in both the high jump and 110 hurdles, Wyatt Lundergan was third in the long jump and fourth in the 1,600 run, and Nicholas Schultz was fourth in both the discus and shot put.
Shawe travels to Rising Sun today and competes in the Sam Sumner Invitational at Borden on Saturday.
Pacers compete at Lawrenceburg
Switzerland County track & field competed at Lawrenceburg on Tuesday with the girls placing third out of four teams and the boys fourth.
Raylinn Kappes scored a pair of wins for the Pacer girls, winning the 100-meter dash in 13.36 and the 200 dash in 28.2. Amber Detmer won the 3200 run in 14:07.
Other top finishes for the Lady Pacers were: Megan Wetzel, second, 300 hurdles, 53.38; Claire Rogers, second, 800 run, 2:34.92; Alisha Detmer, second, high jump, 4-10; Alisha Detmer, Macy Collier, Rogers and Dakota Richards, second, 3200 relay, 11:23.84; Carly Bennett, Wetzel, Brooklyn Flanders and Kappes, second, 400 relay. 54.29; Flanders, Alisha Detmer, Kappes and Wetzel, second, 1600 relay, 4:33.13; Collier, third, high jump, 4-8; and Bennett, third, 100 hurdles, 19.27.
Matt Davis had two wins to lead the Switzerland boys in the 100 dash in 11.77 and the 200 dash in 25.03.
Other top finishes for the Switzerland boys were: Darian Graham, second, shot put, 32-0; Nathan Furnish, second, 800 run, 2:18.35; Furnish, Chazz Hartley, Dylan Sullivan and Cooper Hon, second, 3200 relay, 9:39.44; Graham, Davis, Tyler Hoskins and Derek Hoskins, second, 400 relay, 46.93; Tyler Hoskins, third, 200 dash, 25.65; and Hon, third, 3200 run, 11:14.08.
Switzerland competes at Southwestern today and returns to Lawrenceburg for the Tiger Relays next Tuesday.
