Kinley Kunkel won three events and Rebecca Kainer and Patrick Kainer had two wins each to lead Trimble County at the North Central Kentucky Conference Track & Field Championships at Walton-Verona on Thursday.
Kunkel won the girls 800-meter run in 2:36.05, the 1600 run in 5:30.47 and the 3200 run in 11:43.70. Rebecca Kainer won the girls 100 dash in 13.48 and the 200 dash in 28.36.
On the boys side, Patrick Kainer won the long jump at 20 feet, 6.75 inches and the triple jump at 41 feet. Trimble also won the boys 400 relay in 45.75.
Carroll County’s Evan Searcy won the discus at 11 feet, 6 inches and Grayson Kinman won the turbojav at 119 feet, 4 inches.
Other top finishes for the Trimble girls were: 1600 relay, second, 4:46.16; Kainer, third, 400 dash, 1:04.93; Adeline Howerton, third, high jump, 4-4 and sixth, long jump, 10-10; 800 relay, fourth, 2:11.10; Lily Bass, fifth, long jump, 11-5; 400 relay, fifth, 1:01.14; Mady Stark, sixth, shot put, 24-1; Harmony Johnson, eighth, 100 dash, 14.95; Sophie O’Neal, eighth, 400 dash, 1:15.55; and Matelyn Smith, eighth, 1600 run, 6:56.07.
Other top finishes for Trimble’s boys were: Ricky Gray, second, 100 dash, 11.24, second, 200 dash, 23.31 and fourth, long jump, 18-0; Patrick Kainer, third, high jump, 5-6; 1600 relay, third, 4:14.00; Ricky Robinson, fourth, discus, 101-3 and fifth, shot put, 36-4; 800 relay, fourth, 1:54.17; 3200 relay, fourth, 11 15.73; Owen Jackson, fifth, 100 dash, 11.69 and fifth, 200 dash, 24.04; Kyle Meece, fifth, 110 hurdles, 23.26 and fifth, 300 hurdles, 57.67; Charlie Abbott, fifth, discus, 95-9; and John Campomayor, seventh, 300 hurdles, 1:00.53.
Other top finishes for Carroll’s boys were: Seth Franklin, second, high jump, 5-10 and second, triple jump, 40-9; Searcy, second, shot put, 44-8.5; 400 relay, second, 47.92; 800 relay, second, 1:39.57; Brack Cayton-Wright, third, turbojav, 115-6; 3200 relay, third, 11:06.92; Aiden Crutcher, fourth, 110 hurdles, 22.82; Aiden Lilley, fourth, 300 hurdles, 54.79; Bryson Chadwell, fourth, shot put, 36-6; 1600 relay, fourth, 4:14.71; Mitchell Lacefield, sixth, 100 dash, 11.80 and eighth, 200 dash, 24.78; Taylor Harsin, sixth, 1600 run, 5:27.29; and Matthew Butcher, eighth, triple jump, 29-1.
Top finishes for the Carroll girls were: 800 relay, third, 2:08.03; Makayla Keithly, fourth, 300 hurdles, 1:04.21; Macie Miller, fourth, high jump, 4-4, fourth, triple jump, 24-1 and fifth, 100 hurdles, 21.36; 400 relay, fourth, 1:00.36; Katie McAllister, fifth, 200 dash, 30.71 and eighth, turbojav, 38-0; Chloe Young, seventh, turbojav, 50-9; and Savannah Romans, eighth, discus, 53-5 and eighth, shot put, 20-3.
Trimble County hosts Henry County on Thursday. Carroll’s next track meet will be at Trimble County on May 10.
